4,015 times I prayed for her

Dont mean to butt in here, I’ve only been NC for a month and a half but I️ know I️ wont break it. I️ think the biggest thing is enjoying life but not trying to distract yourself from your emotions. I’ve found that if you’re feeling like crap about the BU or having a bad day because you can’t stop thinking about it, the best way to deal with it is by just ranting to a friend and if you’re sad let yourself be sad then move on.

I️ think when we try to distract ourselves when we feel sad by doing a bunch of things that we know are distractions, the relief is so temporary because as soon as you’re done doing whatever it is you’re doing the emotions come back because you haven’t dealt with them.

I’ve just been trying to stay grateful for what i have and dealing with the emotions as best I️ can when they come and I️ feel so much better as opposed to when I’d find myself going to a spot we used to go together or just distracting myself because I️ didn’t want to feel upset.

Time is 100% the ultimate healer but making sure you’re healing in a healthy manner speeds up the process from what I’ve seen and it’s definitely a good time to acknowledge what you need to work on to be a better person.
