4-year old girl found drifting off the coast on an inflatable unicorn.

Not everyone is automatically aware of sea dynamics and that doesn't make them automatically dumb.

At the very least it makes the irresponsible. Now look, I admit I grew up on the coast. I've never lived more than a 10 minute walk from the beach.

But even if you've lived your entire life in a landlocked area, hundreds of miles or more from the ocean, you should at least have a bit of understanding in regards to its power and its danger.

On top of that, I would say if you're traveling to the ocean for the first time, you should 100% do your research on safety.

If you don't, that's simply irresponsible. And personally, I'd say a bit dumb.

Before I started hiking in my region, I made sure to research all of the general dangers and learn how to safely and responsibly take care of myself. Why? Because forests and mountains are dangerous.

That's common sense and something even school age children should know, even if they have no experience. Forests - dangerous. Mountains - dangerous. Deserts - dangerous. Oceans - dangerous.
