Like I said, it only happened once, and they had broken into their Halloween candy in the middle of the night and essentially had a party that ended with lollypops and magnets stuck to the new TV (which left a black streak in the display), water poured in the DVD player for some reason and random candy pieces that had been bit or licked once and then discarded decorating the walls, furniture and floors. They were old enough to know several of those actions were wrong and at the very least they aren't supposed to be out of bed in the middle of the night without getting an adult or have candy without asking first. A long talk was had, they were made to donate their toys and that was the end of it. Never had to happen again.
