ITS 4K FOR YOUR EARS

In regards to audio lag specifically, there are custom latency options within the UI to fine tune which works best for you. If you have normally experienced audio lag on your PC, you can change this by decreasing the latency.

In regards to how the processing works on a specific level, I will quote from our fidef.com website, not firewav.com as fidef is the actual patented algorithm powering FireWav. It goes as follows:

" FiDef employs a highly specialized, patented process to create a custom noise profile that is tightly correlated to the source audio. The noise layer is sub-audible, but FiDef employs a phenomena that exploits the brain’s ability to make use of sub-audible noise to enhance the interpretation of sound"

You will probably then ask, "How does our brain detect sub-audible signals?"

As also stated on the website:

" We’ve all heard of subliminal advertising. A picture of popcorn or a message that says “eat popcorn” is put into one frame of a movie film. Nobody in the audience can see the message that appears for only 1/24th of a second on the screen, but their brains pick up on it easily. Popcorn sales suddenly increase at the concession stand. Sub-audible signals work in a similar way. The listener cannot consciously hear the sub-audible signal, but the brain picks up on it clearly"

Now you are correct in saying that there is an EW involved with the application, but this piece is optional and FireWav will still process the audio as seen in our comparison video anyway. The EQ is simply a compliment to it all if a user wants to add something in addition. It is important to note that we are NOT changing any aspect of the digital audio itself. We are simply restoring sub-audible levels of noise that the brain would otherwise not detect.
