I hate to say it but even if you are on auto fill, with the pharmacy hours and staff cuts - you'd be smart to call them 7 day's prior to it being "fill" day and asking them to make sure they add it to the order so it's there in time. It was already a problem for you, but the cvs subreddit is full of endless chatter about over flowing script cue's etc.
Also, b/c it's Fentanyl the person submitting that order probably has to be a pharmacist with Power of Attorney - so figuring out which pharmacist that is and what their schedule is might help you help getting it on a track of this not constantly happening to you.
I don't work for them - I just have shitty genetics - and I have to take a medicine 4x's a day to live. I can't leave anything to "chance" so I had to learn all the ins and outs.
