5 Best & 5 Worst John Schneider Decisions As Seahawks GM

Peterson is a force, but missed time with injury and scandal, and notoriously handicaps the Viking's offensive strategy. Peterson prefers a deep back/power-I formation and has remained a liability in the passing game, hampering their shotgun/spread QB from getting comfortable.

Lynch never had the splash plays of Peterson (or Charles, just to bring in another comparison), but that probably worked to Carroll's strategy just fine. He had his problems with health and extra-curricular activities, but he was there when it mattered. Lynch owned all but one of the 100 yard rushing games allowed by Harbaugh's 49er defenses. His best work was out of Power-I like Peterson, but he picked up the read-option in 2012 quick enough to have his best season, and went caveman on the 2014 season when the passing game fell apart. He split out wide often enough that defenses had to respect him in the passing game (aside from being a ferocious blocker)

Peterson can have his fantasy football awards, I never would have traded him for Lynch.
