You can't expect much muscle mass on a cut in general. At 68kg/150lbs your body fat is quite high.
How are you training when you do? Are you (honestly) pushing yourself? If yes, the answer is more likely to be take a break from the cut and do a small surplus for a few months if you're comfortable with that. Based on the fat you have in your midsection you've got a ways to go before you're properly lean.
If you're still learning the movements in the gym or at whatever activity you choose, a cut is the more attractive option since you won't get much muscle anyways and are more trying to prevent muscle loss. Again, I'd guess you've got 20 - 25lbs to go before you're lean. At 5'8" 125 the calories for a cut will be pretty brutal, so personally (since my willpower when I started sucked) I'd prefer you build a base first so cals can be higher on a cut and you're less likely to lose progress on weekends/cheats/whatever.
