5 Ways LGBT Muslims Can Resist Deep-Rooted Heterosexism

This article is absolute bullshit and Exmuslims such as myself who live in Muslim countries are suffering because of such mentalities. All this apologetic nonsense about Islam not being homophobic is not true and is distracting the LGBT community from the plight of LGBT Exmuslims, and LGBT Muslims, who live in Muslim countries and who DESPERATELY want to leave. Life is a living hell for us, and it is because of Islam's teachings on homosexuality.

I'll just tell you one thing: If you care about LGBT people in Muslims countries, whether LGBT Muslims or Exmuslims, try to help them either by helping them get the hell out of the Muslim world or by rejecting apolegetic nonsense such as this article. Muslim societies haven't accepted women as equals, and you want us to think that there is hope that homosexuals would be accepted? Read the Quran. No religious book has condemned homosexuality as clearly as the Quran.

"You lusts for men instead of women. Rather, you are a people transgressing beyond bounds" Quran 7:81.

"He [Lut] said, "My people, these are my daughters; they are purer for you. So fear Allah and do not disgrace me concerning my guests. Is there not among you a man of reason? They said, "You have already known that we have not concerning your daughters any claim, and indeed, you know what we want. He said, "If only I overpower you or could take refuge in a strong support...When our command came, we made the city's highest part its lowest and rained upon them stones of layered hard clay." Quran 11:78-82.

And these are only two out of the many verses that reference homosexuality being an abominable sin. Also, don't get me started on the hadith were the punishment for homosexuality is mentioned.

I don't want to hear any exegetical paradoxical blahbloxical bullshit. The verses are very clear. The people of Lut were signaled out for desiring men instead of women, and they were being punished for this. How could a verse that says "you desire men instead of women therefore you are transgressors" mean anything OTHER THAN homosexuality is a sin?

Moreover, how far removed is this guy is from reality? Does he not understand the dangers of even talking about homosexuality in the Muslim world? The question of homosexuality has been settled there and no one is allowed to debate it. Open it up, and you'll be accused of being a heretic, a Westernizer, and a agent of moral decay. That's not going to change with this article's approaches, which are widely rejected in the Muslim world. Even the most liberal of Islamic scholars have not disputed that homosexuality is a sin.

Stop hurting us LGBT people living in Muslim society by distracting the LGBT solidarity groups from our plight.
