5 years dead boys

All memes aside, they aren’t wrong.

Destiny’s numbers fall as low as they’ve ever been, people say it’s dead. It drifts there for awhile and teeters off with expansion fatigue before exploding with an expansion; before those players leave and Destiny has less players than ever and people say it’s dead, rinse and repeat.

At best, the launch of Forsaken ALMOST reached D2 launch numbers for a week or two before collapsing almost entirely back to pre Forsaken numbers within a month. Now D2 has the lowest population it’s ever had (at least for the amount of content there is, CoO was truly awful) and even Activision cut their losses and ran.

I’m all for fanboyism but people who play Exiles of Conan wouldn’t call the game dead; doesn’t make it true and the same is said about Destiny. I don’t say this as an attack and I know you’ll all downvote me probably without even reading this far but the fault is the direction Destiny has taken; the devs have really dropped the ball on maintaining the game and the huge amount of good will they’ve built up with the player base has been almost entirely eroded.
