54% of the time the rookie QB has started the first season with success

I think savage wins job and Watson doesnt start prior to around week 7 in certain scenarios. If Tom's performance is anything short of solid and consistent, ornhe gets hurt then you throw in the kid over Weeden. I know the hype train is in full throttle for Deshaun but the kid hasn't even turned 22 yet. Yes he has won a National championship and appeared in 2. The guys has all the intangibles you could wish for and I couldn't be more fired up for his future, but I implore all of you to realize that starting week 1 has more downside than up. We all know this offence is complicated to learn, and obviously the jump to the next level is huge. The pressure of being week 1 starter is huge and although I think Deshaun is a star in the making who plays best in clutch situations, if he is not fully ready then it will only impact his confidence negatively. Let him marinate a little so that when he does come in he'll be that much better prepared. With our defence and skill position riches on offense, Tom should be able to do enough to help us win games early on. Who knows, perhaps @onetrueqb will shock the he'll out of everybody, but even if he is just adequate we should be fine early on. Then, providing the coaches think switching to deshaun is what sets us up for optimal success, put him in mid season, and contain those boners. Fuck the colts and fuck the doubters, our men will show the world what we can do this season. With the madden curse in full effect, I like our chances in a playoff rematch with the pats. *sips kool-aid
