6-year-old who shot teacher won't face charges, prosecutor says

I don't know but from what I've read this wasn't one out-of-character incident and this isn't your average 6-year-old that takes an extra cookie while his parents aren't looking. I mean it's reasonable to assume a 6 year doesn't fully grasp what it means to murder someone but he truly does seem like a danger to society, even at such a young age.

From AP article:

the same boy who shot Zwerner had constantly cursed at staff and teachers, tried to whip students with his belt and once choked another teacher “until she couldn’t breathe.”
Two days before the shooting, the boy allegedly “slammed” Zwerner’s cellphone and broke it, according to the claim notice. He was given a one-day suspension, the notice says. But when he returned to Zwerner’s class the following day, he pulled a 9mm handgun out of his pocket and shot her while she sat at a reading table, the notice says.

Without consequences and long-term treatment, it's highly likely he'll do something like this again. This 25-year-old teacher never should have been shot and, although she survived, her life will never be the same after being shot through her hand to her chest by a 6-year-old.
