This moment hold such a special place in my heart. I had just got a promotion at work and for the first time I could afford my own apartment. A tiny studio, but it was mine. Up until then I had bounced around between living in 2BR apartments with 3 other dudes because it was all I could afford.

I spent all my money on first, last, and security. I had no furniture besides my bed. I finally finished moving in that Sunday afternoon, not before rushing out and buying an $8 antenna for my little TV, a frozen pizza, and a 6 pack. I knew the ALCS would be broadcast nationally on Fox but lucked out the Pats were on too.

I was exhausted & broke, but goddamn if I wasn't so happy tp finally be in a place of my own and getting to watch not only Brady's comeback against the Saints but this incredible Papi Grand Slam.
