The problem with architectural hype is just that, hype. The constructed world around you conforms to incredibly safe code, standardized logistic networks, efficiency, etc...

While having the same family home design now since the 50's does get boring, with the effects of climate change Architects especially need to consider their foot print on the world and shipping containers are not great for that. Insulation, modular design, need based construction, and grid connection are all things that can not only be done more cheaply with traditional construction/design, but will have a less destructive foot print as well.
