These are horrible conditions to live in and the landlord is a scumbag for doing this, but at the same time, the only thing that will solve the housing crisis is building more houses, and ending the nimby attitude in dublin that means nothing gets built. Making landlords a scapegoat is easy (and usually deserved) but does nothing to solve the problem, and actually makes things worse because increasing regs on landlords means a lot of them stop renting which makes the issue even worse. If you make bunk beds illegal then where do the 3 guys that get kicked out of the room go? It's unfortunate that people who want to increase peoples choices and solve the problem get accused of being pro-landlord but that is not my intention.
