[785] The First Day in Autumn

Wow. So. I first expected this story was about a super intresting character with a super fascinating mind, someone perhaps pathetlogically detatched... until at one point he comments that they will "be safer inside, sheilded by buildings."

It was at this point that I realized he is fully aware of his surroundings, and that the author wants us to be impressed with his casual response to devistation and human suffering.

Then, get this: the author tells us that this guy, who couldn't give a shit, totes called the opportunism of the government. He's not only super chill, as jaded as Rick from Rick and Morty, because he's seen some shit. Or because he's so privy to the US foreign policy that he doesn't care about backlash. This guy, predicts, with desdain, that the US will totally weaponize this tragedy.

"OH gawd," he says. "You know what they're going to do with this, right?" Smug, self-impressed eye-roll. "They'll do whatever they want now."

Then he has tee. Woah. So brave. I can't help but think the author is literally proud of himself for predicting US bullshit on 9/11, like you're vicariously bragging about your casual indifference.

DONT GET ME WRONG. I am totally grossed out by opportunism, and that 9/11 is relatively insignificant if you consider some of the devistation the US has caused. So if you think I think your story sucks donkey dick because I'm "offended" and you're like brave shooting straight. No no no. This is not the case.

This story is neckbeard stupid, with the most obvious singular objective on this forum. The writer wants us to know he's like super meh about 9/11. Watch me drink tea everybody, I so called it.

Super, super stupid. Also, 9/11 actually happened. We know this. You write like we forgot about it. At no point does it seem that you considered how subtle you could be. Probably because you're recounting your specific experience.

"Plot twist, i'm the guy with the tea and the fedora and the neckbeard."
