8700k high temperatures @ 4.9GHz and 1.28vcore

I'm also novice, but I think the thermals are limiting and it's mainly due to the stock TIM betw die and IHS.
If willing to delid, you'll get lower thermals and slightly more efficiency (lower voltage at same speed).
My 8700k needed 1.31v llc 1 @4.9ghz 0avx on Taichi mobo, nh-d14 cooler. Tried for 5ghz up to 1.38v but thermal throttled, temps were max 96c, and couldn't pass realbench.
Then my $3 delid tool from aliexpress finally arrived after 25days... First time delidding, watched videos. Painting sheen-layer of conductonaut with the swab gave me goosebumps bc of the screechiness of friction, swab-lm-surface.
Anyway, temps dropped a bunch, 15c or so. Retested stability. Was able to do 5ghz 1.325v llc 1 for 2hours on realbench, max 82c in about 21c ambient. Testing with RB is funny, because if vcore was just 0.005v, that's 5mv, less than needed, then hwinfo would show whea errors. I could redo the 4.9ghz but am content with the 5. Additionally, fans can run slower since temps are less.
