911 operators of reddit, what call will you simply never forget?

Depends. I live in south west germany and where I live it is pretty common and sadly the last year was especially bad. A friend who‘s a voluntary firefighter told me in May they already had more incidents than they had in all of 2017.

Long unsupervised and easy to get to tracks and everybody knows about it. If your train is unusually late because of ‚illness of a passenger‘, ‚people on the track‘ or ‚blocked tracks‘ you can be almost sure it‘s because of a suicide attempt and you often get the confirmation in the newspaper a few days later. I often think that how unfazed most people have become to it (especially those openly annoyed by it) must seem extremely cold to anyone not from around here as it is not unusual to see someone on the train platform complaining that ‚this sure is another one of those rude suiciders‘.
