Holding two groups to the same standard and applying the same logic to the analysis of their actions is the literal opposite of moving the goalpoast
That said, I agree with you, qualified immunity affords too much comfort to police officers and allows them to act in ways that aren't necessarily in line with what broader society expects of individuals in law enforcement roles
My goal with my original comment was to highlight this disparity, because, I can assure you, chanting ACAB will never (ever) have the desired result (care to inform me what that goal is, really?). It only serves to polarize the individuals in the policing community by labeling them without consideration for their actual actions
Systemic change for the better is possible - but preaching ACAB, I believe, is not a productive course of action
