96% of the Quran is now tweetable with the new 280 character limit (inspired by the tweetable Bible graph) [OC]

I've absorbed enough through popular culture to have a functioning knowledge of Christianity and Islam and where they fit in in society. The bible also has violent passages but there is a hierarchy in the church to find workable interpretations for the modern era. And Christianity is in a relative equilibrium with modern western society. Islamic clerics, even in western countries, will openly state that the punishment for homosexuality or apostasy in Islam is death. Interpretation tends towards rationality in mainstream Christianity, but towards literal interpretation in Islam. Your friendly neighbourhood muslims don't truly believe in the Koran, they were brainwashed into it at a young age, and are going along with it because of the massive family/cultural repercussions of apostasy. That was a genius marketing move. LEAVE US AND WE'LL KILL YOU.
