A 99% effective Birth Control Pill for Men Could Start Human Trials This Year

Let me break this down for you in a way that hopefully even you can understand.

6% of men quit the study and stated it was because of side effects in the study you provided. In the study I provided 6% of women quit birth control and stated it was because of side effects. (The 14% is not a percentage of the total group, but a percentage of the women who discontinued usage.)

25% of men would not continue usage, for unknown reasons. This number is just the men who know they do not want to continue usage. This does not contain the men (where if this were a real world example) who might stop because they decide they want to have a child, they don't get the prescription refilled, they forget to take it and decide not to continue, or any other reasons. The group of women we look at is real usage, so that opens them up to more reasons for stopping than the hypothetical, including just because it was inconvenient to take. There is a significant discrepancy in the controls between these groups, which makes them hard to compare. (And I note that in my bulleted list.)

I literally never advocated for comparing these groups directly because they are not 1:1 because of outside factors. The only reason I linked the study in the first place was to show that more than 2% of women experience symptoms. And this can be demonstrated by the fact that 6% of women will stop usage due to side effects (potentially more, in the unlisted reason group) and even more women will experience side effects but decide they still want to continue usage.

You have completely misunderstood literally everything I have said and I doubt you even fully read the studies.
