A453 OCR Computing help

In the nicest way possible, everybody on this subreddit and everybody doing GCSE computing sucks at coding. There are exceptions of course, but unless you've learnt for many years outside of school then you're just not very good. I have a problem with this because being taught by a bad teacher will only turn you into a bad student. The best website for programming questions is stackoverflow and people on the IRC channels relevant to the programming language should be happy to help you. If you are actually interested in learning python and any programming language then a book is always the answer. Reading even a simple programming book will give you more knowledge than any student in your school and probably even your teacher (Some schools might have competent teachers but from everything I've ever heard and experienced from GCSE computing, none actually do).

For a list of the best programming books for your chosen language I would visit the subreddit of that language (e.g. python) and have a look at the sidebar as well as search for threads talking about books.

This is a bit of a rant but GCSE computing just annoys me.
