Abandoning My Faith For Herritage

Fair, I always thought as a Christian, our concept of God should be of creation itself, and we should be closer to nature. Pagan rituals were dare I say barbaric and superstitious, but I can definitely see a correlation in all religions. I'm not saying I accept paganism, but I find paying homage to my ancestors is better than paying homage to a god they originally didn't believe in. I guess the word I'm looking to use is honor. I'm trying to understand the concept of honor. Because I definitely believe the human soul exists, and it in essence had to come from somewhere, or something. There's definitely world beyond the veil of death. Otherwise, what's the point of living. Something most atheists don't want to acknowledge.
