Abortion Group Claims “Forced Motherhood” & “Female Enslavement”

I believe that when unique DNA is distinguishable from the mother and father is the best time. (If we can convict on DNA, we should use the same basis for determining life). Since that happens 12 hours into pregnancy, I therefore believe that abortion is killing a child.

Should I really be surprised that to be consistent with your definition you'd be banning Plan B as well? Should I really be surprised that to be consistent with your definition you'd ban stem-cell experimentation? Of course not. You can "believe" the federal government should control personal decisions or that a man in the sky forbids them (which is really the grander delusion that stemmed our current backwards abortion laws) but there's absolutely zero scientific basis behind what you're saying. Every time you step on a little patch of grass on your way to work you're also stepping on cells with their own DNA made of the same nucleotides that make up you and I. There is little left to uncover in terms of when "life begins" - there are various stages of development that are made up of hours and weeks and months. Stopping further human development at the very earliest stages is more innocuous than stepping on an ant.

Most who support abortion say viability. However, that is short sighted for 2 reasons.

Being pro-choice actually doesn't really mean anything regarding one's opinions on late term post-viability pregnancy termination. It's not even remotely related to the primary discussion because it's not until 21 weeks into pregnancy that abortion has any possibility at all being viable. In the US only 1% of abortions are carried out after that time and less than .1% after 24 weeks which still falls into a grey area of possible viability - some of those people have something that goes wrong with the pregnancy. Socially conservative morons would have you think that's most pregnancies. It's made even worse of course by the woman who don't have access to abortions and the lack of availability can cause them to have their abortion weeks later than they otherwise would have.

Nothing else you said has any merit. Comparing abortions to a mother covering a newborns's mouth with a pillow is just about the stupidest fucking thing I've heard in awhile - it's quite literally propaganda that far-right evangelicals use. Try reading a medical journal one night instead of the Bible, you might learn something.
