About Amazon...

Well mr-peabottle, since I arrived in late August, I haven't experienced anything like this. While they do track your labor and they will pull you aside if you seem like you're taking too long of a break (Have some other issues with that that I can go into if you care.), I've not experienced anything like this yet and I'm sure my manager would understand that unlike my ex, nature calls. I haven't been able to find much more information about the news story but it sounds like an overzealous and probably now fired manager more than anything. I'm just one guy working in one warehouse though so peeing in bottles could be the norm with me just being lucky, but looking through this thread I'm far from the only amazon worker here and most of them seem to agree with my experience. (If you think I'm lying or wrong, then go through these comments and form your own opinions. Stuff like this is definitely bad but that doesn't necessarily make it the norm.)

Also why are you mad at him for waiting until now? There was no pressure or anything for this to happen, it just happened. Even if you don't like him, this is still a huge step in the right direction and Bernie is really supportive of this. It's not like EA where they were basically forced to do something the internet wanted, Amazon just did this out of nowhere.

Eh, I don't really think black friday had much to do with it since this will have an impact for much longer than black friday will. Just seems like a coincidence to me but to each their own.
