So it's not hard to see how one could see the Reptiles as metaphorical 'Jews', even as a dogwhistle, but I don't. Like the rest of leftube, Natalie has pointed out that the rich bastards who run the world are anything but secretive about it. There is no 'secret Jewish conspiracy', but there is an overt capitalist dystopia, which the Reptiles can be shorthand for.

which would be a great defense if David Icke's theories did not also come with some holocaust revisionism. In chapter 7 of his book "and the truth will set you free" he writes:

today sees people vilified and jailed for questioning some of the official versions of The Holocaust in Nazi Gennany. If you do that, no-one listens to the evidence because this is lost in the tidal wave of vilification and condemnation.

He continues to lay out his idea of what happened... which in short holds that some jewish lizard people had meetings held in Hebrew (which he stresses a few times) in order to orchestrate the holocaust as it would allow them to "snatch Palestine and the Middle East from the Arabs and the British":

I strongly believe that a small Jewish clique which has contempt for the mass of Jewish people worked with non-Jews to create the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the Second World War. (...) They financed Hitler to power in 1933 and made the funds available for his rearmament. Their representatives in other nations manipulated their governments to allow Hitler and the Nazis to invade surrounding countries and increase their military power and potential by acquiring the resources of those countries.

Contrapoints might consider reptiles a shorthand for capitalist dystopia, but this was certainly not the way David Icke considered it. It is definitely a dogwhistle in his works.
