About half of Canadian workers living paycheque to paycheque: survey

People have gone to school and have experience in specific fields. It is unreasonable to say "just change careers every time things get a little hard".

You are quite welcome to stay in a job that will not provide a living wage if you want to. But why then complain about that choice that you took for the love of the profession? I mean, blacksmithing also requires a considerable amount of schooling, but we're not going to feel sorry for anyone not able to find sustainable work as a Blacksmith in downtown Toronto either. Why should we?

But, I will also point out that what you have described is the sunk cost fallacy. Do you think it is wise to fall for fallacies?

Or are you suggesting that every single profession exists in the country?

I cannot think of any profession that doesn't, but I'm sure there are outliers. If you don't care about money, by all means, do those jobs. I honestly don't care if you want to be poor. That is your choice that you have the freedom afforded by living in Canada to make.
