About to do my first dash, any helpful pointers or things I should be aware of?

On my first Dash, no one could tell me nothing. I wasn't even aware of this sub at that point so you're already in a better position than I.

I would suggest looking up the street view of the destination here in this late fall. You're going to be delivering in the dark. Look at the landscape, the shudders, their color, it eases your delivery. Look into a focusable flashlight.

If you find yourself lost in an apartment complex, don't freak out. Use my previous tip to anticipate it. You can ask the customer for help. But if you're clear headed, odds are you'll figure it out through logic, despite a few u-turns. You either accept the challenge of apts. or don't.

If you get a hotel order, and the customer meets you at the door, ask for the name of the order. Many people wait on their order in the lobby. Ask them something only your customer would know.
