only partway into the season but i think he's a male clone of Reagan. reasons:
- similar nose, eyebrows and hair color
- very similar personalities and aptitude for science
- both mention that most other people find them offputting and unlikeable
- they frequently say the exact same thing at the exact same time
- they've mentioned clone-cest offhand this season. e.g. real early in the season the HR guy was giving a talk about how 'it's still harassment, not masturbation, even if it's your clone'. I feel like this might have been foreshadowing.
- Reagan fits right into that 'narcissistic/insecure' archetype in fiction that is usually designated to characters who want to date themselves
- last but not least... their names. Ronald and Reagan? cmon.

my feeling is Ron is a hint at some sort of genetic/cloning conspiracy involving Reagan herself, which will get revealed in a long term format?

I feel like he might also be part of a thematic arc of Reagan growing as a person-- where she goes from someone who can literally only date herself-- Ron is comfortable to her and doesn't challenge her-- to someone who can have a healthy relationship with a person who's different from her (I'm guessing Brett is being set up as the long term relationship interest). I feel like Ron's a baby step on her way to learning how to not be dysfunctional in relationships. Could be way off base there though, we'll see lol.
