About that terrible John’s Hopkins study on lockdowns

  1. I mean yes lockdowns have objectively worked. I'm genuinely baffled how anyone could insist otherwise. We know they work simply by locking at statistical evidence. Places with lock downs had fewer infections and deaths compared to places without lockdown. But even ignoring the fact that all data points points lockouts working, it's basic common sense. Anyone who knows 2 things about pandemics can understand why there'd be fewer infections if people didn't interact with eachother as much. Like ... yall are literally trying to argue that an infected person in public spreads the virus exactly as much as an infected person cooped up inside.

  2. Socialism has been tried successfully in many regions besides the ussr and China. Several socialist parties have seen economic prosperity and peacefully handed over power. Others were democratically elected and saw significant progress before the United States violentally overthrew the, again, democratically elected government.
