I knew it! I fucking knew you would respond. You can’t lose. You, even in a situation where you ask to be made fun of, you have to validate yourself. You have to have the last word, because that’s the only one that matters. You’ve been told you’re pretty and smart and beautiful for so goddamn long that there’s nothing, absolutely not a goddamn thing anyone can say to penetrate your ego.
