The absurd Lakers-Pelicans trade.. in a hockey context

Reminds me of the Lindros trade, although he didn't play a minute yet.

**>We’ve been talking a lot about trades lately. I don’t actually know much about the NBA at all, however today I saw the Lakers have traded Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and FOUR first round picks for Anthony Davis who has one year remaining in his contract. Their intention is to have a superstar duo, pairing him with Lebron. As for the three players, they’re all starter/top rotation guys.

This trade seems absolutely bonkers to me. What do you guys think would be an equivalent in hockey? I feel like if we got offered three 2nd or 3rd liners and four first rounders for Giroux, even with his current contract, you gotta take it, no?

Obviously the two sports are different in a lot of ways, depth is way more important in hockey. This trade just seems bananas though.

Nordiques get:** Chris Simon, Mike Ricci, Ron Hextall, Peter Forsberg, Steve Duchesne, Kerry Huffman, "future considerations", 1st round picks in '93 and '94, and a cool $15 million
