Academic Hinduphobia in California Schools | How Hinduism is taught differently than all other religions.

Your logic is very flawed;

no it is not. you haven't offered a counter either.

the concept of being Hindu/Buddhist did NOT exist at the time and is a modern distinction.

that's a mere wordplay. Fundamental tenets of both religions contradict. Even then it's pisspoor logic. There was no hinduism so everyone was a hindu? You are a funny guy.

People did not put themselves in rigid boxes.

they absolutely did. Mainly following doctrines of local teachers, schools, and cults.

Why are you are implying that one has to follow the Upanishads to be considered Hindu

Because if you read it you will realize "Mahabharata" isn't the best work of Indian philosophy. I would suggest starting with commentaries and trying to get an overall picture before diving into English translations.

Anyone that followed Dharmic culture is considered to be Hindu.

Source?

. You need to learn more about the history of cultural and religious identity in the Indian subcontinent.

I know enough to disprove your dishonest claim.

Further proof you have not read the Mahabharata because I am not referring to the Gita.

Gita is just adhyayas 23-40 of Bheeshma Parva (chapter) of Mahabharata. With all this arrogance, I would have hoped you'd at least google it. Embarrassing.

Indians just further developed it

I do not have time to educate you on this but the presence of Steppes pasturalists and Indo European (proto Sanksrit) languages in the subcontinent coincide. This period is also when endogamy started in the subcontinent. It is pretty obvious. (https://www.thequint.com/voices/opinion/genomic-study-vedic-aryan-migration-dravidian-languages-sanskrit)

there's plenty more sources. Go read something for once.

Good thing religion is a foreign concept to India.

Almost like saying the Incans, Aztecs, Pharaohs, Maois, didn't have religion either because they never had the word religion in their dictionary. Like I said, you are a funny man.

Obviously not, you are an armchair intellectual

Even if I were, you are doing pathetically against me. But it could also be because I grew up in India, followed and ACTUALLY read the stuff you brag about, for 20 something years.

Our culture has been on the verge of destruction because of people like you

More people left Hinduism during caste system when people like you failed to recognize the flaws and stayed ignorant. Took revival by people who actually acknowledge the flaws and spread the religion again (Bhakti movement, google it).

Our culture

There were several cultures inside India (the entire Tamilakam), independent of Hinduism.

I suggest you read the Mahabharata before you speak again.

Eww dude. Stop talking like an uncle.

Read an abridged version in Hindi (for school), full version in Malayalam (because it's an interesting story).

Stop reading Amarchithra katha and RSS pamphlets, educate yourself before you preach.
