Is Ted Cruz actually a vegan?

Actually I bothered to check, he's not but it's a joke that Booker made earlier today.

I don't know much detail about Booker's politics (he seems OK from what I do know) but can I just say he seems like a genuinely fun guy?

For balance, I'll add that while I don't like his politics and I understand he's more than a little slimy at least part of the time, Chris Christie actually seems kinda fun too. Same with Mike Huckabee for that matter. I'll admit I'd probably find more to hate if I bothered to look into either of those guys in detail but I feel like - unlike, say, Mitch McConnell or Lindsey Graham - if we avoided certain topics I could enjoy a couple of quick drinks with either of those guys. They seem genuine enough based on my superficial knowledge of them.

(Bracing for downvotes, I wouldn't be surprised to learn they are actually huge dicks or that "he kinda seems like a nice guy" is too political of an opinion to express on any of the three without offending someone.)
