Accepting that we don’t have to strive for normal

I don't understand how a therapist can tell you to do those things. We can't do them because we have a severe illness. The therapist is supposed to treating it. I'm depressed because I suffer from chronic PTSD, and there are multiple co-morbid disorders. Every day is hell. They're supposed to be treating you, not telling you to do things you can't do.

If a therapist doesn't even understand PTSD and the symptoms, and is trying to treat someone with it, that's a serious crime in my opinion and they need to be reported. And making someone feel abnormal because they have a disability is really really wrong.

I don't experience this because my therapist treats PTSD but there's probably a lot of therapists out there doing major damage because they're not qualified to treat it.
