To be honest, I upvoted the original poster and downvoted you because you're doing the same thing they're complaining about -speaking for a community you're not a part of. I typically vote democrat and don't use latinx unless someone asks me to, and then I will because it costs me nothing to use words that make someone comfortable. Surely you don't agree with everything that your preferred party does? What do you gain by sowing more division here? As far as views go, we should be on the same side. But you've painted the entire democratic party with a single brushstroke and in the process lost an ally. Which incidentally is a good argument for taking care with the language we use.
