So, the Accommodation Supplement and the Allowance can't be received at the same time. Essentially, the Allowance is a grant while the Supplement is a loan. You'll have to pay back the Supplement after graduation, but you will not have to if it's the Allowance.

The Allowance has an age you need to be at in order to qualify. I think it's... 25? 26? Somewhere around there.

If you qualify for both the Allowance and the Supplement, you cannot receive them both at the same time. The Allowance kicks in as long as you aren't earning a wage, but after you hit a threshold of earning for the week, then the Allowance is reduced. The Supplement, however, is not.

Basically, if you qualify for the Allowance, take it. If you don't, take the Supplement and get a small part time job to get you by while you finish studies.
