Act natural

No, it doesn’t upset. I’m a man who has been sexually harassed and assaulted, at my workplace, school, etc etc.. obviously I get it. Nothing on your list of bullet points I disagree, those are all plights of men in this world

My issue with comment chains like that is it turns into a pissing contest. I know you didn’t start the chain, but the person who did asked “Explain to me why it’s hard to be a woman” after saying it is not hard to be a woman. After this, you came in and began with the bullet points, as if to defend that person by saying “Men also experience bad things in today’s world.” Which is CORRECT, but why bring it up in this context? Women have their own unique hardships, as do men, and of course some of these hardships overlap. But both experiences are unique.

When someone mentions a hardship that women face (in this case, negative attention in public) and people in the comments jump in like “Men have it harder than women”, you are failing to acknowledge the actual nuance of each gender’s individual experience.

Basically, my point is, by derailing a discussion like that, you are trying to discount the experience of women in today’s society. Which is wrong and ignorant. It’s like “But men also experience bad things that are worse than what women experience!”
