Active shooter at Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington

Let's be real, Ayr would hardly be a target for intentional shooting sprees. Yes, you'll tell me it's still possible, which is true of course. But it's not probable.

It's certainly not false. Never seen that show Police Intercepters? Durham traffic police carrying full armed response gear in a safe in their cars at all the times. Look it up. And I know for a fact that Cumbria roads police do the same since that guy shot an officer a few years back.

Haha wait and think about that, of course gun crime rose after gun laws were introduced. It wasn't a crime before the law came about! So use of guns could stay the same and it would still look on paper like crime increased.

Of course I'd rather an attacker was put down before my family. But I just don't feel like it's as big an issue in our country that you're making it sound? There's no gun epidemic here yet at least, so giving people free reign with them feels like unnecessary escalation to me. It's interesting though that we can share a country and have so different views on this, there's no easy answer.
