Activision Blizzard says it plans to fire its CFO for an unspecified cause

Netflix is in a pretty weird place right now and it seems like a lot of people aren't as in love with it as they used to be. It's getting harder to justify due to increasing prices and many believing the platform really hasn't improved over the years. Arguably their service has actually gone down and the site is less usable than ever. They've adopted a quantity over quality approach that isn't exactly working out in their favor. Their earlier stuff seemed to be of a higher quality and most of those series are coming to an end.

People mostly stick with it because it's the only real game in town, but that's all going to change. With the looming threat of all major content producers launching their own platforms and pulling their content Netflix has to be a little scared. Disney is the biggest threat who is already well on their way to making a platform that can compete pretty hard and take a ton of content away from Netflix. If enough people pull out, Netflix is going to have to rely on their own content that is considered pretty average. Unless they really up their game I don't see this being a major drive for people.

If Netflix started showing me ads I'd pretty much be done in an instant. I already consider it too expensive. If I wasn't sharing my account with 4 other people I would have cancelled it awhile ago.
