Actors who were selected for a role described as ugly, how did that part feel to play?

Yeaaah, I dated a girl in HS who was a theater girl. She started “kissing practice” for a play with some theater guy a week or two after our first kiss, and that made me feel like shit.

She didn’t get the part that had the kissing scene, but she still probably kissed that guy more than she kissed me that whole semester, if the amount of time she spent rehearsing for that part with him was accurate.

I went to all of her plays, being a good boyfriend. Luckily she dumped me a few weeks before I would’ve had to watch her pretty much make out with someone else on stage, which was probably related, based on how she was acting towards me since she got that part and started rehearsing for it.
