[Actual Title] Pregnant wife wants minimum 1 year separation. Says I’ll be allowed to see the child, but isn’t very clear on how much.

He’s in his 20’s and she is close to 40. I think they are both in the wrong here. Why would you marry someone with such an age gap, live with them for years and only then decide to conceive a child with them and wonder why the guy you married when he was 21 or 22 is not as ready or stable or even have the basic job experience to help you raise their child. Similarly, I bet he knew her clock was ticking and he should have a plan to mature light years ahead of what he otherwise would have in order to make it work. I was definitely not ready or stable even though I had a good job and was married to my wife at his age. There’s no substitution for life experience, I think it’s unfair in situations like these for the person that is able to have 15+ years of a life experience deficit on someone to enter a relationship and expect them to be able to catch up. Outside of everything we don’t know and are speculating, that one fact is true and not healthy on both sides. Part of the decision to marry and have children goes with evaluating your partner, she’s no saint in this. The real sad fact is the situation the innocent baby is now coming into the word in.
