Hi, fellow neopet user - your account data has not been corrupted. What's happened is that over the years, the Neopets team started deleting old accounts based upon certain criteria - probably stuff like total hours logged on the account, last login date, number of neopoints in the bank/net worth, etc. Your account may have been deleted and reclaimed by another person who wanted the same username. Unfortunate, but that virtual life you had going many years ago is gone for good. I started playing again a few months ago and while my own data was all still there from 2005, many of my neofriends had disappeared and I did some research on what might have happened to them.
