It actually looks a lot better than I expected but her dark hair just suited her so much more

Hi, not a cosmetologist but I grew up in salons (my mother owns a few) and am a fake blonde myself. I‘ll have to wait for more pictures/videos in daylight, but as I‘m sure you‘re aware, removing pigment from hair works by going through stages, aka red - orange - yellow - until eventually you get to white. Nobody’s insinuating that the hair will become darker, I‘m implying that her hair didn‘t lift enough in the first place to get to the yellow stage, as I think is pretty visible in her already slightly orange lengths even in this picture above. I‘m also pretty sure she didn’t want that, since the contrast would‘ve been much more visible when mixed in with her natural. But if you only lift to an orange-y colour and apply a beige toner on top, that‘ll only last so long and is combined with more maintenance if you don‘t want it to look orange. Obviously the lighting could be flawed and we‘ll see a more lighter/yellow tone tomorrow in the daylight, and that‘ll make you right!
