Adam Bandt: There are schools that need more money. They're called public schools.

I don't know. I want to help struggling families and I believe that every child deserves all the opportunity to get a great education, but I don't think shifting around school funding from private to public is the way to go. The intention is good, but it's just too distortionary on educational outcomes.

I much rather address wealth inequality via changes to the income and the capital gains tax system and/or via a UBI.

Then for education I rather just give each kid a certain amount of cash per annum to spend on education and they can choose whatever school they like. If they choose an expensive school then they have to come up with the difference.
