US adds Pakistan to blacklist for religious freedom violations

The comments section here is a total mess.

First of all, let me start by saying that the U.S. itself isn't exactly a moral beacon. Plus, this is clearly a political move rather than one based on merit. A point that can be proven by their resistance to name other countries (for eg: India) that should be on that list.

Now, having said that, Pakistan is not tolerant of other religions. Hell, they aren't even tolerant of people who belong to different sects of their own religion (Islam). You can try and argue my point, but I'm not wrong. A place where Ahmedi's are treated like lepers, a place where people can be killed over 'blasphemy' without proof.

Guys and girls of this subreddit. We may not like the people calling us intolerant, but they're not wrong.

If you want the image of this nation to improve, we as a nation have to improve our citizenry.
