Is ADHD a disability?

Yes and no. Everyone on this Earth has trouble concentrating. You probably remember everyone in your class waited until the last possible moment to turn in assignments. It wasn't just you, right?

I know it's super lame to say, but exercise, diet, and discipline can help fight any symptoms of ADHD you are struggling with.

Or if you want to embrace it, one of the symptoms of ADHD is hyperfocus. Not sure if you actually have ADHD, because again everyone and their mother has difficulties with concentrating. But if you ever got lost in a passion for so long that 8 hours pass like 8 minutes, that's hyperfocus.

Again, I'm not here to gatekeep hahah, but anyone can have a psychiatrist diagnose them with ADHD, the symptoms are just way too common. Thank God I've only had this happen to me less than 5 times in my life, but I've laid in bed trying to fall asleep with random incoherent words popping in to my mind. A few of those times I even cried because I thought I was losing my mind.

Autism and ADHD are on a spectrum, you don't have it or do. There is no such thing as neurotypical or neurodivergent. Everyone lies somewhere on the spectrum dealing with their mental health issues. You have to ask yourself if your symptoms truly impede you from functioning in society, or if you are just crying out for help in a temporary slump in life.
