Adler: Prop A is fiscally irresponsible and a threat to public safety

It's not Prop A's fault

It is not Prop A's fault nor is Prop A going to fix it. APD has already admitted they are short staffed and are in the process of filling staff vacancies. There is already a cadet class in progress those classes take 32 weeks to complete. City Council has already restored the 20 million it cut from APD's budget (I'll point out that funding cut did not affect officer salary or the number of officers employed) and then turned around and added an additional 10 million on top of the 20 million they restored.

All Prop A does is say hey guys lets take all that stuff APD is already doing and do it and oh just for shits and giggles lets say they have spend 35% of their time doing "community engagement".

Prop A is a terrible alternative tying policing standards to numbers someone pulled out of their ass.
