Admissions Advice

Hello! So recently I got admitted into uoft life science and honestly I have no idea why I got accepted lmao?? Like my average currently is 78% (bio 88%, functions 70%, physics 76%) I have no idea why they would accept me based on such a shit average so then I was thinking maybe they accepted me based on my top 6 grade 11 which is 88% as I got accepted in February but idk if this is the case. My mom is strongly advising me on going into uoft for life science but the issue is for me is that I feel like I shouldn’t although I want to, it’s just if I’m getting such low marks now how in the world am I going to survive uoft?? But then on the other hand I’m thinking how if I do accept, I’d really have to change my study habits as I think the reason why I did so bad in semester 1 was that I got really lazy and wasted time and blamed my teachers for the results. I know I was not reaching my full potential at all. I also want to become a scientist of some sort so I’m not interested in med school although I also do want to go for my graduate degree after my bachelors. I’m just not sure that uoft is the place for my undergrad although I really want to go there. I just need some highly realistic advice from someone who won’t sugar coat things for me! Thanks!
