I think Adnan is guilty but I'm ok with him being released since he did about 20 years

In a US court of law, how I feel doesn’t matter. That’s why we have the rule of law not the rule of men.

This topic of conversation is specifically for people that think Adnan did his time and that it's justice that he walks free. I'm pointing out why this is fucked up beyond what any legal system says. It's not revenge as much as it's about justice. Revenge comes through justice.

On a very basic level how is there fairness in a murderer going free when the murdered person stays dead?

So I am assuming you are for life without parole and the death penalty.

The punishment should simply fit the crime. What's the equivalent punishment vs killing someone? Is it take a break in prison for a few years then go free and get rich? This is justice? Adnan enjoys his life while Hae stays dead and her family continually suffers.

Do you actually have any loved ones in your life? Do you not have any empathy for what it'd be like if it happened to your family?
