I honestly don't get it

I'm much more often inhibited by my emotions towards a person and my feeling of their emotions than by social standards. I wouldn't keep calling an overweight person fat because I feel how it would feel, not because it's abnormal to say that. And if I blurt something out accidentally or start being self-centered due to being swept up by anger or other emotion, I will apologize to attempt to make them feel better, not because it's some kind of expected protocol.

It's empathy - feeling feelings of others, and it's the reason why we can understand other people who don't think like us, and why this video feels beautiful, and why we won't see as beautiful if someone starts calling them imbeciles and describing how they are different from others.
